I just got done rebuilding the carbs on my ski. I did not really have a good way to check the RPM so I set it to the two full turns that the manual said. When I put it in the water and started it I noticed that the ski will idle at 5mph indicated which I think is a bit faster than before. I was curious if one of you that had the correct RPM set could tell me if that is about right or not. Thanks.

Kt. Idle speed should be set with the idle speed screw and not the low speed screw. Idle out of water should be 3000 rpms and 1500rpms in water.

Turning screw clockwise increases engine idle speed and turning screw counterclockwise decreases engine idle speed.

Low-speed screw 1-1/2 turn ± 1/4
High-speed screw 0

Because you don't have a tach, after you adjust the low and high speed screws adjust the idle speed with the single adjustment so it idles and wont stall, while it accelerates without hesitation.
