the shop manual for 2002 240 EFI says:

Idle RPM
– All Models
Wide Open Throttle (WOT) RPM

1000 ± 1100
5500 – 6000

I assume this is the same for yours. I love the -+ 1100. mine stays around 1100 on my tach in the water. I couldn't tell you if this is accurate or if this is the same engine you have.
