Idle Problems 03 sportster 4-tec

Hey guys, got a 2003 Sportster 4-Tec. I was having some idle issues with my 03 sportster 4-tec one day. IF I could get the boat started and it ran long enough to put it into Forward and give it throttle, it ran like a champ. As soon as I take the throttle away, it dies. Takes me probably 5 or 6 tries to get it started again.

I took it into our dealer, they said it was a fuel pump issue. So we replaced it. Took it out the next day, ran fine. Took it out the day after that, same issues as stated in paragraph 1. What gives?

I have the exact same boat. I dont have the problem personally, but am interested in any feedback you get in case it does happen to me.
