Hi, so last post I was looking for a second opinion on getting the starboard engine replaced. So in an effort to save some costs, I have been sourcing parts online. I have found a guy selling his "717", it's been rebuilt by a backyard shop mechanic( nothing wrong with those guys ) so question is what marking or identifier tells me this engine is a 717? It has rotax 6923 230 made in Austria. Is this a 717? Guy isn't terribly unreasonable in price of it, I just want to be sure it's a 717 before I fork over the dough.

Dang boats are expensive.

There should be a motor ID tag on top of the mag. housing.

added: I did a little research and it looks like a rotax 6923 is a 787 rfi engine, so no this engine is not a 717, but check the ID tag on the mag. housing.
