iBR vs Floating PWC Docks/ Beaching

Does anyone have a solution to prevent the iBR gate from catching and breaking on a Drive-On Floating PWC Dock or complete beaching? Is there any way to avoid damage when doing either of these? The brake and reverse gate starts and stops lowered down. Please don't say, "you shouldn't fully beach it" or "don't drive all the way up on the PWC dock". Those are not solutions for my questions. By the way, I have a 2012 Wake pro 215 with iBR (intelligent brake and reverse).

Here is a picture of a floating pwc dock with non-iBR

Beaching = Stupidity

Beaching isn't bad if you do it at non-running speed and just walk it up. In a calm lake so it doesn't get bashed against the sand/rocks
I don't think Ryguy is talking about beaching it at 30 MPH.

I don't own one with iBR but have driven a couple at the SD demos.
If the gate is hanging down won't that impede your top end speed also?

Even just letting the doo sit in the sand and rock back and forth for an hour will prematurley erode the gelcoat. Jus sayin..

You could wire in a switch that would stop power going to the brake system. As long as you flipped the switch off while moving forward the gate would remain hight and out of the way.

Once you start it and get off your dock or the beach flip the switch and you are good to go.

If I was to do this to my ski I would do it so that when flipped off it would power a buzzer so you would not forget to flip it back for safety concerns,,,

Once you shut the ski down, there is an iBR override mode. Simply power up the ski (not start), scroll through the modes until you see settings, scroll through settings until you see iBR override, and select iBR override on. You will then need to hold the VTS/scroll up button to raise the gate. It will stay up until restarted.

This may not be effective if you power load on to the dock / power on to the beach as the gate will still come down once you shut down. Once you shut down though, you can override the gate and not worry about it resting on the dock/beach.

I have a Jet Dock that I use with a 2011 GTI that has iBR. I do not have any problems with iBR and the dock.

When you shut the ski off, or when first starting it up, iBR is in the "neutral" position so it does not hang down beneath the bottom of the ski.
