Got this yesterday and would go into reverse and beeped. Took it to a guys he clear codes and said there must have been a stick or something from preventing it from moving.

Well took it out on the way home and did it again. This time I took the key out and didn't do it again for the last 20 minutes of playing.
Any thoughts

I would definitely look into it because you would hate to have that drop when your doing 40 to 50 mph

Look into the recall for sure.
I had the exact issue. Bought a Can Doo Pro to figure it out. It was a low voltage issue for me. Battery was fine as far as starting the ski. But kept getting IBR Module codes. Swapped the battery and all is good.

I have a GTR 215 2012
Battery is new, pulled fused everything ok.
If there was a recall wouldn't they send something out like cars?

No they do not when you take your machine into dealership they always check for open recalls . I bought a 2016 rxtx 300 last year I brought it in for winterizing . They checked and the supercharger had a recall and the Ibr needed to be reflashed . And i didn't get a notice go figure

It may be a TSB and not a recall, if that is the case, you would not be notified.

If there error happens again and the ski goes into limp mode ( not of 5k rpm) will anything damage the ski) other then the Actualtor or what ever with the IBR

I would say no. It goes into limp mode for a reason, which should prevent any damage..

Think about what happens if your doing 50 mph and the reverse gate drops ? It happened to a guy on Greenhulk forum he flew in front of jet ski about 20 to 30 ft

This issue was suppose to be solved with a TSB. The brake was too aggressive. The update made it so the bucket would only drop to a certain degree based on speed. And then lower more as he speed decreases.

My 2013 GTR is doing the same thing. It started doing it 3 years ago when it had 8 hours on it. I've had it to the dealer 3 times to fix it with no luck and they tell me it has no codes. I bought a CanDoo scanner and it has a lot of codes. P1661 C0042 C0073 and C2146. I am in the process of trying to figure it out, its super frustrating because it just cuts out randomly at any speed and goes into limp mode. I need a wiring diagram for it which I'm trying to track down.

Same issue here

Hi I'm struggling with the same issue, you can see if the IBR will cycle up and down on the trailer the steps are in the manual. I just changed what looks like a good 30 amp fuse and mine has suddenly started behaving. Will be water testing it tomorrow. My trouble started with a dealer completed new battery install.

Its most likely the IBR actuator. $1200-$1300 part. I took mine out, removed the cover and saw signs of moisture damage on the circuit board but no moisture in it. I cleaned it and put electrical grease all over the board. Took it out again, instead of every 5-10 minutes of the problem it happened every 5-6 hours. I'm going to replace the actuator and see if it resolves the issue for good.
