Ok , get this crap. 04 RXP has been layed up in may garage for past 5 months. I swear I disconnected the battery, drained the gas and flushed before putting up for the winter. Anyway, I put the battery back in, check the oil and prepare to get is ready for maybe this or next weekend, Clunk,Clunk,Clunk. Thats all I hear. WTF!
Now Im not a big Seadoo guy, I bought this last year for my girls to have fun, but I am a pretty resouceful guy.
Anyway, I go on this forum, Youtube etc, and research and everything I read points to the engine being seized. Now, this doesnt make sense to me because I didnt flood it or get rolled or swamped by a wave or anything like that, but still, all it will do is clunk. I cant turn the drive shaft by hand after removing the plugs but oil is fine, not milky and I checked and double checked spark plugs, solenoid battery etc.
I am upset and want to cry because first of all, the darn thing has no business seizing and secondly, if it is seized it looks like it is going to cost a butt load and I just cant stand getting screwed.
So I pretty much give up and stew in misery and feel sorry for my girls because I am going to have to tell them that their DAD sucks and I wont be taking them to play with the Seadoo.

Now, here is the part that really makes me want to cry...
I go back to my laptop and start looking again for some kind of miracle. Of course I dont find any but do read a couple stories about rocks andropes etc tangled in the shaft and impeller etc. I know I dont have any of those issues but it does get me thinking alittle. I cant turn the drive shaft with may hand at all, hmmmm, is it possible that the engine is semiseized?
So, I get an idea. I get my big butt up and crawl under the Seadoo and take off the grate covering the shaft.
A much better access point. Maybe it will turn.
Damn!, wont budge. I am screwed. It is seized.
But wait, what the hell. I get a pair of channel loks and put them on that drive shaft. Turn, jiggle, turn, wiggle. Hmmm, wonder if that did crap?
I go back up top to the engine, remove the spark plugs, put in the key, press start........Vroom,Vroom,smoke,Vroom!
Thats right, you bet your sweet butt! It started. Did you hear me? It started!
I cant freaking believe it!
Makes me want to cry.

The End

I can't f'ing believe it either, your engine starts with no spark plugs !!!! Of the thousands of posts I've read on this forum that is a first!

I'm guessing you are going to have further issues because the clunk clunk clunk sounds like a weak battery. Charge the battery and have it load tested at your local autoparts store.

I know not a 4-tec, but my buddies 96 SPI did the same thing and so did my 98 GTX. We both were like WTF our motors are toast! Nope just a bad starter ;) If it does it again that would be the first place I look. The bendix sticks out so it stays engaged with the flywheel or whatever it engages with on a 4-tec (just looked at the parts explosion on your ski:o). My buddy actually free'd his up the same way you did, but it locked up again shortly after.

I edited your thread due to language. I see this is your first post, if you'd please go back and read your TOS (terms of service), you'll see that we are suppose to use the forum as a way to engage others to learn about our Seadoo's. This is done without any need to use vulgar or hate laced language. If you'd please find ways of expressing yourself that gets your point across, without offending anyone in the forum, I'd appreciate it.
