I bought my 2000 GTX carb model last season with only one cylinder getting spark.

My mechanic said it needed an MPEM.

This week I got into I to try and verify for myself

I believe what I have below is the correct diagram.

I disconnected both white wires from the coils and then jumpered first 3-18 , then 3-19 to each could one at a time (I took a picture of how I did this) . Taking the signal from 3-18 , it would spark either plug, but taking a signal from 3-19 would not spark either.

There does not seem to be any input to the MPEM that might spark one cylinder and not the other? Is this a common problem.

Does anyone have a MPEM 710 000 025 / 278 001 399 replacement for sale

Sure sounds like a bad MPEM if it is only sending signal to one coil.

I know Westside Powersports Seadoo will test MPEM's.
