i need help deciding Yamaha vs Honda

Hi im in the market for a need jetski but im undecided in which brand should i get.what you guys think whats better, reliable dont have to be very fast and that its going to last long time.

How many passengers do you regularly carry?
What do you want to do with the PWC?

i have $7000 to buy one. i want it three passengers it usually two but you never know.i just want it to be reliable that every time i push the start button is going to start and that they are going to last a long time with good maintance.i hope you can understand me.

The most reliable ski you can buy in that price range would be a SeaDoo GTI SE 155. They are very reliable and have everything you need to go out and have fun. You could probably get a really great deal on a new left over 2008 or 2009 right now.

I dont think you will find a 155 for that. My friend looked for a thousand miles and the best he could find was 2 2009 GTI SE 130's for 16800 out the door with the trailer. I have seen them goijng for around 7500 on them now. The Regular GTI can be found for like 6700. That is about the cheapest you will find a brand new ski. They can fit 3 people and are plenty fast with 130 HP.

me either, never had anything new...even my dog was rescued, im gettin used to it though.....part of your problem HERE is that your on a SEA-DOO forum askin whats best yami's or honda's......well OF COURSE homie.....the answer is SEA-DOO......not to be bias but its true:toetap05:
we for the most part ALL have do's and love them.... if i were in your shoes, oh wait i was about two months ago, bought 2-97 gtx's paid about 3g for the set gotta pimp trailer for $885, put another 1k in the doo's, and they are F'n pimp now....and 1k got everything that needed to be updated, and even a sand, buff, and wax on both ski's, w/new decals....i will post some pics later...still in under 5G and gots 2 of them....obviously i dont spend your money, but you may want to rethink 1 new for 2 reliable easier to work on older......the new will be short lived too, next year it will be "old"....good luck

thanks daverade well to be honest with you i had a 96 seadoo gtx and took the motor out like 4 times so i know those motors like the palm of my hand. so i want to try something else.

Well the motors in all of the current SeaDoos are 4 strokes that are 100% different from the 2 stroke you had in your '96. Very reliable in comparison, and able to put out some serious HP numbers.

If you are financing, you might be able to find some old stock ('08-09) RXT for killer prices near your target range. That'd be a great 3 seater with a ton of power. Give a couple local dealers a call and see what can be done. Riva is selling RXP-X's from '09 for under $10k, so it is definitely possible.

I have news I just bought a 09 Honda Aquatrax f-12X turbocharged. it was a great deal.i couldnt pass it up. it comes with 5 year extended warranty.well see how is that going to work.

i have a seadoo 155 and a kawasaki 250 the kawasaki is 2008 and has never had a problem since new and runs the best speed and ride , a new one sells for around 8900 in my area hope this helps

If it were me I'd would have bought a 2009 seadoo RXP or GTI. I'm sure your honda will work just great.

No thats without a trailer but i bought a nice one for $400.the ski was brand new i broke in the motor today and it is turbocharge it has 175HP i believe.
