I have a 95 gts that went out on me last summer it would not start so i took it too a repair shop and they told me that it was the oil pump was out how can i tell if that was the problem how do i trouble shoot the pump i mean all he did was look inside and turn the shaft so i know that the motor didnt freeze up

If the Oil Pump "Went Out", I would do a compression test to see what the engine is doing internally. Usually if the oil pump stops working the engine seizes up. The compression test will give you a good indication of what is going on inside, and if you need to do a tear down rebuild.

when it went out it just stopped running i wasnt riding it at the time it got towed into shore the person who was riding it at the time ran the battery down so it after charging the battery it would not turn over after that but i know that it didnt freeze up i can turn the crank by hand but i will try the compressin test what should i have

I am sorry guys I made a mistake i just looked at the estimate the shop gave me he said it was the water pump not the oil pump

Uh...you have a 95 and a 93 gts???...They don't have a water pump. The impeller from the Jet pump(the item that propels you forward) is what pushes the water into the cooling system of the seadoo.

I think maybe you misunderstood what the dealer told you...We're here to help you. Some dealers have no idea of how seadoos work. Was the servicing dealer in question, a Certified Sea Doo dealer? Myself, and everyone here in the forum wants to help you, and save you money. That's why were here.

pull the plugs and try to crank it. May need to jump the relay. Think'n you got water inside the motor, since, you mentioned about being towed.

Thanks alot for all your info i will try too crank it I need a new battery the one i have is not holding a charge anymore so whats the proper way to jump the relay thanks

well it wasnt a seadoo dealer i was in Laughlin Nv. at the time it happen so I took it too the nearest repair shop in Bullhead City Az. that worked on everything

how do u jump the relay and how can you test the staror and starter the motor cranks about a turn of two then it stops and makes a binding sound what do you guys think?
