Hydro mat install

I just bought new hydro mat for my 98 xp has to drill out the rivets ot remove the old stock mat do I need to fill the old rivet holes with silicon or exopy or something before installing the new mat?

Yes. If you don't... the mat will eventually leak, and you will find water in the hull. I simple dab of RTV works just fine.

Here's a little tip that I have found saves time when removing the old pop rivets. Just take a sharp wood chisel and sever the rivet at the base and drive through with a nail punch.
