Has anybody used a boarding platform on there HX? Just would like to know if they work good or not. I have come to realize that they are few and far between. I have found two but are expensive, thats why I need some input.

I have never run across ANYONE who had one, used one or knew anyone else that had one......even the dealer I bought my HX from had never seen it before.

The HX is not a beginner's boat. I've been trying to sell mine and keep getting calls from people that never had a PWC before and wanted something to toodle around on with the wife and kids. There are PWCs that are good for that - the HX is NOT one of those boats.

For years I've lived a conflicted life with this HX.....difficult to ride, difficult to relax on, and difficult to live with (no storage, no gauges, loud as hell). Is there anything more famous in Seadoo lore than the ridiculous technique needed for reboarding an HX? And yet when it is wide-open throttle G-force turns, crazy stunts that are impossible in any other Seadoo, and downright grit - there hasn't been a Seadoo that can come close to the HX.

Fortunately I have been adopted (not me adopting, other owners adopting me)......by a GTX and a GSX. This has led to a more balanced PWC experience. I can ride with the family for more leisurely boating - or take out the uncivilized HX and beat the crap out of myself with awesome riding. The 2 or 3 seaters allow me to stay close to friends that are trying out the HX and having problems with it. Ever stand on the shore watching a new rider try to climb back on your HX?:o

:rant:The point of this rant is that the HX boarding platform (myth, legend, or whatever) is a band aid that doesn't get you closer to boats better suited for easier riding. And given how expensive (even used) and hard to find this thing is, you'd be happier with a 2 or 3 seater ALONG SIDE your HX.

Okay, after all that hot air, I will say this.....if you ever find the boarding platform, I am curious what it is like and if it really helps.:)

I do have have 97 GSI so when I get tired I climb on that to board the HX. Thanks for the info and input I think I'll keep my money in my pocket.
