Hi, first post here for me! I'm about to purchase a 2007 Challenger 230 w/430hp, the interior of the boat is impeccable, 75hrs, but there is some damage to the hull underneath toward the mid-stern of the boat. I can possibly get the boat about $2000 less than a comparable model without any damage, so I'm wondering how serious of an issue this is.

Thanks for any input.

Thanks for any input.

I don't think this is a huge issue. Take it to a local auto body repair shop. Pretty straight forward repair I would think.
You will want to make sure there is not internal damage. As in,,,, how hard was it hit?

Also, due to the hull, are you planing on doing a ride and drive test? Because if not, you could be in for a serious surprise. Lets just pretend one of the engines is bad. To replace it can easily cost $3500 to $4500...

If it were me, id grind out that area a bit and use a gel cote repair kit...ive done a lot of small spots like these. You can fix it yourself for like 75 bucks for all the materials.

search one of my post covering this SEADOO HULL REPAIR FIBERGLASS REPAIR

very doable, hardest thing is getting the cosmetics/paint looking good after fix
