How to Waterproof your Cover

My cover is for a 96 SPI so it's kindof old. It doesn't have any tears or holes in it or anything, but it's apparently far from waterproof. I keep it covered at all times in my back yard between uses but every time I take the cover off, the footwells are full of water and it turns nasty and dirty in there from the standing water. I tried taking the cover off and pouring water into it to see if it was waterproof at all and while some parts of it hold water, there was still a puddle under it afterward.

I can't jack up the front of my trailer far enough to make water run off the back of the ski at all times so it doesn't fill up.

The only thing I can think of is scotch guard to spray on it and help repel the water. Any other ideas or suggestions of what will work?

Most covers are not 100% water proof. They need to be able to breathe. Have you tried Scotch Guard?

Put a sawhorse under the trailer tongue... raise it up... scotchguard or another tent fly treatment will help...

I have an aftermarket cover (poppy company) and the fabric is Sunbrella I believe. Anyway, they recommend 303 High Tech Fabric Guard after a few years. Never tried it myself, but many people swear by it.
