how to take the screws out of the bottom of the ride plate to remove stator/?

Hey all,

Took the boat out this week and noticed a loss of power and it wont plane out...while the engine was off of course I reached back into near the impeller and felt that the impeller house is really work and i could feel holes in the inner area of the houseing...from my research i know that it has to be repaires or it wont have power to force water threough the rest of the pump...needless to say i have removed everything but the stator...i cant seem to get the screws loose that bolt under the ride plate of this M2...hitting them with an impact didnt even budge them and im afraid if i do it more it will really strip them out...any ideas?

They used heavy thread locker on them. So... get them hot to break the thread locker. Also, there are stop nuts between the pump and the plate. Make sure they are loose.
