Newbie here. Was wondering where is the place to start on improving the performance of my new (to me) 2012 Challenger (215 hp) Where do I start

Impeller
Air breather
Bigger supercharg
Intercooler

Thanks in advance

You will spend a ton of money to gain a few extra horsepower. Is it worth it? Only you can decide that. All I recommend is you make sure your impeller and wear rings are factory spec and your supercharger is rebuilt and have fun.

It can easily cost you a grand to get 1 to 3 MPH in many cases. Even if you got 5 MPH, is it worth a $1000. That is your call.

Great advice folks and that is where I was leaning. So even an impeller upgrade (relatively inexpensive at $200) is not really worth it? Getting SC rebuild and wear ring checked this week. Thanks so much for the replies.

Most impellers will improve one end and cost you on the other end. It is very challenging to improve the bottom end and the top end as your engine is limited on both horse power and RPMs. Unless you increase those, an impeller normally is not a great answer. There are some, Skat I believe, that do actually heals across the board. But mostly help within the normal range. So you may get a small increase in bottom end and MAYBE 1 or 2 MPH on the top end, but the mid-range will be better than stock.

BRP did a very good job in impeller selection relative the rated HP and max (limited) RPM.

I'm concerned that performance upgrades will reduce the cruising range too much. The 180 Challenger holds a few more gallons than the normal Sea-Doo boat (32 gallons for the one engine). Other Sea-Doo boats carry about 22 gallons per engine on the 210 and 200 boats.
