I pulled the pump cone off and cleaned it and put it back on and filled with oil. I filled all the way to the bottom of the threads of the fill plug hole. As the oil worked its way in, I kept filling to the bottom of the threads until it would not take any more oil. I ran the engine several times on land that day. Only for about 15 to 20 seconds at a time. The last time I started it, when I shut it down I noticed oil leaking on the floor at the impeller. Using a flashlight, I can see the cone and I don't see any oil leaking at all on the cone side. The only thing I can figure is that the seal on the impeller side is leaking. If I repeat the steps that I took to get the cone off, what do I have to do next in order to replace the seal on the impeller side?
