Hi,
I'm working on a '90 Seadoo SP with the yellow 587 for a friend and it has low compression. I was going to take the cylinders off to have them bored and put a new top end kit in it, but I'm not able to get the cylinders off. I have the service manual, but it says to remove the bolts and pull the cylinder straight up. I've got the four bolts out of the cylinder, is there anything else that is holding it on? I can't seem to make it budge at all.
Also, do you always need to bore the cylinders with a top end? The compressions were fairly even, 88 and 95. Can I just do new rings and be done with it? Maybe use a glaze breaker on the cylinders?
Thanks
