Hey guys... I'm in over my head as far as working on boats.. I'm looking for referral for a good Sea Doo shade tree mechanic or full shop. Where can I find one ?

I live in Ft Worth Texas, and most of the boat dealerships I call won't even touch a Sea Doo, and the "authorized dealer" are literally just a rip off ... way overpriced and absolute jerks to deal with.

Any suggestions? This is my 3rd summer, and my 1999 Sea Doo Challenger is doing great. I just want a mechanic I can trust to do some routine maintenance that I'm sure is OVER DUE ... and to double check potential problems so I can be proactive instead of waiting until there's a major repair or problem.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone ? Anything ??

Thanks

This is what I did. Went to the Seadoo website and looked up dealers and servicers.....if you will. My nearest preimium seadoo jet boat service area was 55 min away. Called them and told them what I wanted. They said drop it off and well give it a tag. They called a few days later and it was ready to go. The guy that worked on it even showed me what he did and the areas to look for problems if they arise. Since I had just bought the boat I told them to give it a "who's your father" service...and they did. New sparks, new fuel filters, oil filters, changed the jet pump oils, checked wear rings, compresion tested...the whole 9 yards if you will....After it was all said and done the boat gained some MPH's. It went from 51mph with just me in the boat in the fall, to 56 just after the service. Not quite sure what that was about but hey...I like it
