Yes he can. Then go buy a hour meter from like West Marine and bench it ( hook it up to a battery till it has the correct hours as your seadoo) Install it using a purple wire(only positive with the dess attached) for the positive and a good ground. Now it will keep track of the hours usage for maintenance in the future.
Good idea. Called my local dealer yesterday and said it'll be $47.50 (minimum shop charge) to check it. I was hoping it would be a real easy and quick (cheap) process, lol.

That is cheap! Here in Florida the basic shop rate is $99.99. Have them give you a printed out report of all the info available too for future reference.
