My ski doesn't have an hour gauge on it. Can the dealer look up the hour usage by hooking up to the ski in some way?

Yes he can. Then go buy a hour meter from like West Marine and bench it ( hook it up to a battery till it has the correct hours as your seadoo) Install it using a purple wire(only positive with the dess attached) for the positive and a good ground. Now it will keep track of the hours usage for maintenance in the future.

Good idea. Called my local dealer yesterday and said it'll be $47.50 (minimum shop charge) to check it. I was hoping it would be a real easy and quick (cheap) process, lol.

Well, it probably would take a few minutes, but most shops require you to pay the minimum just to have the ski there.....

That is cheap! Here in Florida the basic shop rate is $99.99. Have them give you a printed out report of all the info available too for future reference.

What other info would be in the report? Might be worth it. hhmmm...

BTW, that $47.50 is the going rate up here in Jacksonville (FL).
