This may sound soft coming from an old timer, but maybe not lol.
My Wife was upset at the loss of her Mother recently and while trying to comfort her I
told her I had got upset in my garage while going through
the vast amount of nuts and bolts and junk
I have collected over the years. Yes I was weeping over the memories of
countless jobs done on ski's, motorcycles, cars and quads.
I found stuff from my Sons KTM motorcross bike from when he was 3 year old.
The first ski I owned a 1989 Kawasaki X2.
Stuff of motorcycles I owned when I was 12 year old.
Yes I'm a softy. It cheered my wife up alot. It must off as she
takes the pi** out of my softness now and then.
Must be getting old.

Mate
It wasn't the same loss you had BUT
I have the 1st brake lever when the boy fell off,a photo of his 1st stitches.(barbed wire fence) and his helmet that he did his 1st wheely(mono) on.The helmet is totally loss of paint on the back of it.Because he flipped it big time.AND the side step from my daughters Jeep Cherokee. She got run off the the road.12 foot drop into a creek and after it all cleared, the doors opened and they all got out.But Also have a collar from my little Jack Russel.Jacko.This dog had balls that should have been on a bull.Toughest little mate I ever had.3 years and still miss him

Memories are great. I just can't throw some of this stuff out.
I seem to know where everything is in the garage, and can lay my hands on
most stuff. We recently went back to riding quad bikes so we had plenty spares lying around.
I'm keeping a set of offroad tyres I had on a Chevy Blazer incase I go and buy another one.
I'm running out of space here. 3 sheds and a garage full of usefull junk that might come in handy
one day.
