My new to me SK tach's out around 6900RPM's. Runs awesome but the guy before me just installed new throttle cables and I think he has them adjusted a bit off. The throttle levers are nearly all the way open before the boat starts to rev out. It tach's out at 6900RPM's. I am going to adjust things so its normal but am wondering what if anything I should expect out of another 300 or so RPM's. Right now boad does about 40-43 through reeeeally choppy water and with two people and gear.

the SK only has 720 engines in it. The rev-limiter is at 7000. So... you can't get another 300 out of them. On the 720 engine... 6800 is the normal "Open throttle" speed. (assuming there isn't any cavitation)

Ahhh. Well then, I guess they are adjusted properly. I thought they went to 7200. Thank you sir. That is one less adjustment I need to make then. More time for the lake. Have a great Sunday everyone.
