Hi Guy's and ladies.

I feel embarrassed to have to ask this, but I've been asked to get my friends Islandia out of the water for him.

So I pushed the plastic bit onto the push in switch, put the key in and tried to start. Nothing so I'm guessing the battery is flat, but is there some secret way to start it.

Cheers Glen

You probably need to turn the batteries on. Not sure where the "Perko" switch is on the Islandia but I would start in the engine compartment. Once you get the power turned on, you'll hear two beeps when you but the plastic bit (called a lanyard) on the terminal. Then make sure the Lever in in "N" for neutral. You should then be able to start it. Be very careful with low speed steering these things. They take some getting used to.

Don't feel too embarassed, I have a friend who claims he's been around boats his whole life, and couldn't start my boat. And it was pathetic watching him trying to maneuvre it. I actually had to jump off the dock and swim to the boat to take er' back home. (yah that bad)

Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply.

All this technical talk like "lanyard" lol.

I'll have a look around for the Perko (what ever that is lol) and make sure no one is around when if I get it going.

Thanks again for the help.

Guy's thanks for the help, very much appreciated. I found the "Perko" switch just behind the drivers seat under a foot of snow lol. Well it's out of the water now, and your right there is a nack to steering them which I do not have HA.

So it was in the water and had a foot of snow in it? Better get that thing winterized ASAP.

That was the big rush, my friend is currently working out west, and for some dumb reason left the boat in the water before he headed off to work. It's in my workshop till he gets back next week for him to winterize it. Dam thing is in the way now lol.

Thanks again for the help guy's

Yah thats what I was thinkin ... Foster did you trade your avy in for an H2?

Heck no.....i love the Avy too much. I have considered and H2, but I really dont think I would get rid of it for anything besides a newer Avy. Its a great truck. I was just trying to help find the stolen H3 SDB posted about. This is what it looks like. :)
