Hi I want to replace the outer seal in the stator housing. I have a new one but before I start digging around and break something I just wanted to check how to replace it. Does it just pull out? Or is there some further dissambly required?
I recently bought a 2002 X20 and was going through doing maintenance so I started the year with a known good baseline. My stator had water in it when I drained the oil so I removed the whole thing and got a new seal. It just pulls out and the new one presses right back in its place. Easy job, good luck!
