I bought a 1995 sea doo but I can't figure out what model it is or what size engine. It has been painted over and I can't get in touch with the person I bought it from. Any idea how to find that out?

You should be able to narrow it down using the specs.

Process of elimination.

If it is a 3 seater it's GTS or GTX
GTX has multifunction gauge, GTS doesn't.
If all else fails, pop the seat and look under the air box. 1 carb - GTS, 2 - GTX

Now if you have a 2 seater, it gets a little trickier.
You have either

SP
SPI
SPX
XP

The SPX and XP have the VTS system. If you have it, you have one of those 2, if not you have an SP or SPI

The SPI has the Eletric fuel gauge with low oil warning light and a few other options that the SP doesn't have.

As for the SPX vs XP, the easiest thing to look at is the impeller housing and venturi nozzle. IF it's aluminum, then it's the SPX if not, the XP.

Hope this helps.

if you have 12 11 mm head bolts going thru the cyl head cover in 2 hexagonal (6-sided) rings, it is a 650 or 720. most likely 650. if there are a ring of small allen head bolts around the perimeter of the head cover, it is a 580. back to the 650 or 720. if there are 3 big hoses on head cover-2 in rear and 1 in front going to the exhaust, it is a 720. if there are 2 big hoses in the rear of head cover and 1 little bleeder hose coming off the top of front of head, it is a 650.
