How bad does this impeller look to you?

I mean, I know it doesn't look good, but on a scale of 1-10 how bad are we talking about? The leading edge of one blade has some pretty good size knicks in it. I'm going to swap it out for a Solas and put a new wear ring in because of the cavitation problems I've been having but I was curious to know how bad this is? Sorry for the newbie questions but I'm new to jet boating. I've had jet skis before but I never had any cavitation problems before. Also, should I cut off this excess gasket sealer sticking out of the housing? (Red arrows)

I would trim the sealant. Neither of my skis have sealant. I use a heavy synthetic grease. Everything goes together well and no cavitation issues.

That impeller isn't terrible and neither is the wearing ring. I'd say 7 or 8/10 There are some places that will rework that impeller back into tip top shape for a reasonable cost. While it's apart it wouldn't hurt to change that wearing and is a must if you're putting in a new impeller. The excess sealant around the edges is definitely not helping...it can be trimmed carefully with a sharp blade. I had a ton of this excess sealant as well. I picked up a little top end by cleaning it up in there. I don't think that the wear ring and impeller are causing you major cavitation issues in that state.

What I don't like is the gap on the bottom where the sealant is protruding it appears as if this is between parts of the pump shoe....but it's hard to tell.

Trimmed all the sealant, replaced the wear ring with a stainless and put a new Solas prop in. Unfortunately it's pretty windy here in Tampa and there's a small craft advisory so I can't go out for a test today but hopefully tomorrow!
