Have a 96 XP 720 and a 96 XP 800 and would like to power Hour-Meters off the 5A circuit using the RE-PU wire off the MPEM. Any possible issues?

The 96 XP 800 has an hour meter in the MPEM that you can get to by toggling the mode button for the Infocenter display. I did not think there was a 96 XP 720.

Thanks, I'll check that out. The 720 does have XP badging so I assume it is an XP.

It is probably an XP, just not a 96. Probably an earlier year like 95. I think the year is container in the hull number on the back deck of the ski. Look in the manual for that year to see if it also has an hour meter buit in.

Yes, I checked the Hull number and it is a 95. I acquired both Sea Doos for free and in the process of restoring them after they sat garaged for 10 years. The 95 720 is now running and the 96 800 is next! Can't wait till Spring!

The 95/96 XP does not have those buttons. The hours are stored in the MPEM which you'll need a reader to access. Easiest to install a TTO Tach/Hour meter and track that way.

Sorry about that. I have a 96 GTX and realize that it is electrically almost identical to the 96 XP, except for the guages and VTS. WhiskyD is correct.
