Vent...?

Your zoomed in kinda close, but the tubing fits the description of either your oil vent line or your tell-tale line from the top of the exhaust to the back of the ski.
Can you tell where the other end is going to?

The line couldn't be more than a couple ft long if that so it is not going to the back of the ski without another connection some where. And it does look like it could have had oil passing thru it (it is a translucent hose). I can't tell what it is connect to nor where it needs to be attached????

Thanks for the response! I was afraid I was all along out here  Or worse yet NO one knew what I was talking about. :stupid:

The end of the hose looks flared out...like it was connected to a fitting...I would keep looking in the area for a fitting that is missing a hose. The aren't lots. If you knew where it ended at would be a big help. Keep us posted.

I have the same cruddy hose. Mine was laying close to the battery and i assumed it went to the vent or overflow from the top of the battery? Maybe maybe not. Maybe its why my ski wont run. it runs from around the battery area up to t efront allong the fuel line path.

My 96XP has a line that goes from the battery to the front of the ski and exits through a one-way valve below the water line.

Is that the same thing? Mine is detached and cut off because my new battery did not have the hose connection.

If it is a battery vent hose, it won't influenice how the seadoo runs. It is just to keep any battery fluid from droping in the bottom of the hull is you roll it or have it on it's side. It is just a vent hose. Every hose has a place and a part to play in the seadoo.

I think It is a battery vent hose. You can look at babbit's online parts catalogue and see a micro fishe of the various hosing schematics to verify this.
