A firend was riding my 2000 GSX-RFI and it started to bog down. He was close to shore when it happened. The hose going into the exhaust from the engine came off and was pumping water into the engine compartment. It was at least 1/3 full of water. Not much got into the front of the ski asnd the computer was dry. The exhaust pipe got hot past the head. I drained the engine compartment and took out the plugs. I turned over the engine to blow any water (?) out. I replaced the plugs and it started but ran a bit lousy at first. I let it sit in the sun and during the next few hours started a few times and now it seems to run okay. I was wondering what might have been damaged from this happening? My Seadoo repair book does not really cover this. I did not put it back on the lake after we drained the engine. It's now in my garage on a stand. I plan on checking some additional items tommorrow. Also, does anyone know the best place to get the trim control rod that hooks to the top of the pump nozzle in the rear. It's about a 5-6" long rod.

Thanks

Welcome to the seadoo forum. If you got any water into the seadoo the best thing to do is get it running asap and run it for a while to get any water that might be in it out of it. If you let is set and it has any water in it it willstart to rust and corrode and cause problems. Check all the hoses and be sure it won't have this problem again. Keep us posted if you have any more problems.
