i was test out my 1997 challenger the other day and ran the garden hose to it. i am new to seadoo's so i turned the hose on first then ran the engine, i now read that i wasnt supposed to do this that the engine must be running first before and after turning off the hose. did i do any damage? i ran the engine for 10 minutes on the lake after that and it seemed fine..anything i should do

As Lou said, you are good. If you turn the hose on before you start the engine or run it after you stop the engine, you can get water in the engine. Since you ran it after taking it off the hose, that should have blown any water out. Running it for 10 minutes on the lake, or longer as Lou suggested, would assure that any residual moisture would be gone.

X3. You are fine.

BUT... it's very hard on the carbon seal to run that long on the hose. Unless you are riding in salt water... there really isn't a reason to run a seadoo on the hose.
