So I'm in the market for a new jetski and have been checking what's available. I've pretty much decided that it's going to be an RXT-X...just because.... I guess it's a pride thing! My only wonder is how it really stands apart in the real world. I mean 255hp is overkill and truthfully probably never necessary (but it's there! and right now). My only dissapointment being that it doesn't have a tow pole like the wake and not so keen on the gold color.

So my question is: as far as acceleration of the line, does 255hp really differ from 215hp or even 185. Anybody have numbers to back the actual difference- or a video at worst. I mean in actual semi large lake conditions with 1-2 foot waves will the difference in power really be that obvious as neither will crack anywhere near their maximum speed but rather only acceleration will be noticed.
How about dependability? so much power with so little displacement that one has to wonder. (as compared to other brands).

90% of the time will be alone on it, slower machines around but it may pull a skier or an inflatable on the rare occasion.
