What if one of my high speed idle screws has the platic cap missing? Can I watch the plug to see if it was tampered with? Won't it tend to lean the plug out? I'm concerned since I bought the ski used that someone tampered with it. It runs very well after I cleaned the RAVE valves as prescribed by seadoosnipe. TP

Yes....

Yes, reading the spark plug will give you a good idea how well your carbs are running. Attached is a link you might want to look at. It's a great set of pix showing the condition of the plug from rich, to good, and over to lean.

If your ski was runnign well after the RAVES were clean, you should also be able to compare the condition of the plug you have the cap on, to the plug you don't have the cap on.

Here's your spark plug guide!........... http://www.dansmc.com/Spark_Plugs/Spark_Plugs_catalog.html

Both plugs look great! I like that guide. It'll help with every aspect on my hobbies. TP
