I have a 08 Challanger 180 the idle sits around 1800 rpms.
Is this normal? I called my dealer and they said it was. it seems it should be around 1000 rpm

The idle speeds can't be adjusted. The idle will be higher out of the water due to no load on the jet pump. That's nomal.

All 4tecs idle around 1800rpm, in or out of water, it's computer controlled and is not adjustable. You'll have to live with it, lots of people complain about it.

The seadoo is a direct drive jet drive. You can not start up the seadoo in neutral and expect it to sit still. The engine is turning the impeller all the time and its normal to always be traveling forward. Rule of thumb is always have your hand on the gear shifter when you first start it up to control the forward or reverse action at the dock...I got used to it in about 10 minutes on my first seadoo jet boat...
