Hi all,
I have a new problem with my boat, a 2001 Sportster LE with the single 947: Today on the lake my idle suddenly increased about 1000 rpm for no apparent reason. I checked the throttle cable at idle setting and it is fine. Then I tried pulling the choke for just a second, and the idle speed would return to where it should be and stayed there indefinitely until I applied full throttle, let off, then the idle would be too high again.
This to me sounds like an air leak, but why? I checked carb bolts, etc, and everything seems tight...
Any ideas what to check next?
