New to the forums here. New to sea doo pwc. Have had several pwc over the years and rebuilt several. Not too happy about finding out about sea doo proprietary software, engine codes being hard set and only resettable with expensive software.< ive been out of the newer ski loop too long I guess> I'm a certified auto mechanic and have been repairing all types of vehicles for over 35 years. Having to run wallet open to a dealer everytime a machine farts or needs service is complete BS. I call shenanigans on that. Just bought 2 sea doo pwc. 05 gti rfi<150hrs> and 07 gti 130 4tec<72hrs>.. these are my first sea doo machines and most likely will be my last.. ridden a lot of various sea doo s over the years , just never owned any. Seems sea doo figured out a nice "hook". Reminds me of crysler and Mercedes and jaguar. Anyway, Hello to everyone. i'll be scouring the forums and hopefully creating a post or two of questions and awnsers.. a lot of the awnsers I am finding are ultimately resulting in " take your machine to the dealer" .....well... that's not going to sit well with me..id rather throw these skis in a dump than have to be a money slave to a dealership somewhere. I will be uping the $ for the candoo, and ive read enough to discover the software and interface cables will pay for themselves almost immediately. I'm in the bowling green ky area, if anyone close wants to throw in on the candoo software please contact me. I only need 2 license keys<vin numbers> so I will have 2 extra for the 1 or 1st years of licensing.. wont need a 2nd year because as soon as these skis are back to operating correctly they will sure be sold.. i'll go back to older 2 stroke machines, or carb'd 4strks.. these big heavy skis are more boats anyways.
