Hi everyone, I've been scoping out the forum for about 5-6weeks while looking for a boat. Finally found a 98 speedster. The cosmetics/hull/seats are all in pretty good shape. However it seems I need to replace one of the engines(anyone know a good service dept, or shadetree mechanic near central Alabama?) Couple of quick questions for you guys.
1) Should I drain the 8 month old gas?
2) What kind of adhesive can I use to secure the large cushiony lettering
on the rear trunk area?

I'll get some pics posted tommorow, pretty tired from the 8hour tow home.

I remember a mechanic that wirks at the TA in Birmingham that enjoys working on these or so he said , will likely make you take him out on it when fixed .

If it were mine , I would drain it and run in my truck , no more rthan 5 gal per tank full.
I always keep fresh gas in a boat. but I never waste it .

Use 3M double sided tape. dont use glue if you think you might want to replace it some day
