Hey everyone. Just joined up and been looking around the forums.
I sort of inherited a 1995 XP. My father-in-law bought one for $300 with a trailer off a young man with the intention of fixing it up and reselling it. Well as with a lot of his projects, it sat at his house doing nothing for two years until I finally talked him into just giving it to me.
Got the thing home and started tearing it apart. Motor was all locked up and corroded. I've gotten my hands on a gently used block for cheap and have gotten the motor back together. Now I'm just waiting on the UPS guy with some gaskets and bolts that I had to replace to get the motor back in and see if I can get this thing running.
As it stands right now, if everything works out, I've got a total of about $300 in this thing and should have a working ski in the next week or two.
One question. I haven't called the local dealer about this and I will, but do those guys, or even an internet place, rent out the motor alignment tool? I really do not want to drop 150 bucks to use it once.
