hesitation

I recently bought GSX RFI. I winterized it for the winter including fuel stabilizer. First run this year, I did not drain old fuel (tank was low) and just filled up the tank. It ran well first hour then started hesitating a bit on idle and even died once while idling. Also a little hesitation at lower speeds. Im planning on replacing spark plugs, wanter to hear suggestions if it could be a dirty fuel filter

These are the easiest to check,
Change plugs
Check for charging
Load test battery
Check compression

On an RFI, if it hasn’t been done in the last few years new fuel filters are always a good idea.
