I have purchased a 2001 GS has a 718 motor. it ran good for the first three outings.
the last time I had it out it was bogging out and would only run about 5 miles a hour and would not come out of the water.
since then I replaced Gray fuel lines, selector switch, water separator, and cleaned the carb with new gaskets and pop off used the same original spring. Did not mess with the Jets or settings.
When I put it back together I primed the carburetor with a little bit of gas and it fired up for a second then after that it would not fire seems to be getting spark.
Every once in a while it backfires Through the carburetor and exhaust even though it does not fire up.
I was told by knowledgeable mechanic that he thinks The Fly wheel slipped on the key. And he can’t get the fly wheel off with the pulley.
Any help would be greatly appreciate it

Yup,,,listen to the Miki,,,the fact that it fires right up with fuel thrown in,,indicates fuel starvation
