Ok, well I just replaced the fuel selector valve, I included a tutorial for everybody else who wants to do it!

But I do need help! :)

1. While removing the carburetors I noticed that my throttle cable "would not" open the butterflys unless the throttle was almost half way up did it open the butterflys a little bit?

Is this correct? I adjusted the throttle screw so it could open the butterflys right away? is this correct? hopefully I did something good...

2. I also thankfully learned the low speed screws are... i didnt mess with the high speed screws because It states on the manual not to mess with them... but hopefully I go to the lake tomorrow and can adjust them correctly...

You need to adjust when the throttle opens by adjusting the two nuts on the throttle cable. The screw with the "T" handle adjusts the idle.

I did adjust the 2 nuts, my question is that the butterflys did not open at all till my throttle way like 40% up.. that doesnt seem right does it? now I adjusted the 2 nuts, that almost as soon as I upped the throttle it opens up right away, is this correct?

On the boats... you have to push the levers a bit, since there is a lock-out on some.

Basically, put the throttle lever to full, and adjust the cable, at the carb, until the butterflies are straight up. BUT.. you don't want the carb to actually hit the open stop. (or you will wind up breaking the cable) Once that's done... then they open wherever they need to.

You shoudn't need to adjust the low or the high screws. Set them to the factory points, and don't touch them. You need to adjust the idle screw to set your idle.

oh oh, you are right... never thought of that!! so I adjusted it thinking it would be ok, at 20-40% throttle opening.. but I never took the throttle all the way up... I think I need to go back and readjust it..

Thanks Doc I came home and fixed that right away, I think I found the open stop, It was going click at full throttle, I readjusted almost to where it was and when in full throttle it almost hit that open stop mechanism, but it doesnt, what does that do anyway? (I'll google it as well).

Also I didn't adjust the oil Cable is that ok? Thanks...
