Hi everybody, I have a problem with my seadoo, last weekend I was out riding in pretty ruff waves, and after that it started to missfire a bit then I turned it off, and when I tried to start it later nothing happened when I put the lanyard cap on, no beeps nothing and I tried and tried but nothing happend, battery is new, when I can´t hear the two beeps I can´t start the engine either, after an half hour all of a sudden it worked again, but it was still missfireing a bit, the next morning it was dead again not a sound when i putted the lanyard cap on...

My friend has a GSX Ltd. -98 so I have tried his MPEM and lanyard cap but still nothing happens, I´ve also tried my MPEM and lanyard in his GSX and it works in his, so there is nothing wrong with the MPEM, I´ve also tried to switch the connector that the lanyard i connected to and it´s nothing wrong with that either !?:boxing_smiley:, I´m out of ideas can someone give me a tip on what to check or do next !?

Best Regards / Robin - Sweden

Hey Laurin..first off, good job on diognosing some ideas..., recheck all connections, battery volts, fuses, clean lanyard post, swab lanyard key..then repost on if nuth'n, also if VTS equipped, unplug it for now

Hi Timmy

I´ve tried the things you said, and I don´t have VTS on the GTX, I´ve even tried to spray ALL connections with electonic connection spray... and nothing !?? I have messured the + cable from the battery to the MPEM and it is connection all the way, I have messured the cables from the lanyard post to the MPEM also and no faults there either, I go craz soon :boxing_smiley:

O.k...battery volts are good? lets see if juice is get'n anywhere, where the cable from battery to MPEM, it connects to a post, there, you'll see 2 post, thats your solenoid...use a screwdriver, heavy gauge wire, something to touch those two, but just real quick, motor should want to kick over.

Hi again

The battery is brand new, and I haven´t tried "short cut" the solonoid but I have checked the cables from the solonoid to the MPEM and I have juice to the MPEM....

Best Regards

unbolt the ground wire off the engine. clean the terminal and the engine or starter body where it attaches. frequently missed spot.

Hi EverybodY !

I solved the problem tonight, it was the starter relay, I short cutted the starter relay and directly I heard "peep peep" and then everything worked again !?, probably the relay is getting bad so just in case I´ve ordered a new one now, but thanks for all your tips and help !

Best Regards
