Hello. Bought my 1st seadoo boat, and i think ive got it ready for water. But was just wondering if someone could tell me what drain holes are what and if they need to be plugged before i set sail. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks

There is only one drain hole you have to plug, it's a black one right at the bottom of the boat right in the centre, the other holes are for bilge pump, floor drain near your right foot when you are driving the boat and for the water to come out that keeps the engines cool.

So just make sure the black one is plugged, it should have a plug you screw into the hole....

Thank you! Do you know what yhe black one on the drivers side is?

There are a couple that when you connect water via a hose to the connections under the lid cover (one by the gas cap on the right side and one by the oil cap on the left side) the water comes out of a number of locations on the back of the boat. This is so you can 1. Flush the system if you are in salt water 2. Run the engines out of the water (for short durations and limited RPMs) for testing purposes.

The only hole you have to worry about is the one I already described to you :)

Ok. So the open hole on the side of the boat is ok to leave open?

is that the side of the boat? hard to understand what i am looking at .....looks like the trailer tire is there....if so, that is just a vent. there should be a special cap over that.

Take a picture of the full back end of the boat and a close up of the "holes" that are there. Also take a picture of the Serial Number sticker - it should be on the back of your board, near the top on the right side...

That doesn't look like anything on my boat, could be after market modification, but need more pictures to figure it out for you....

Ive got an anwser to all the rear holes, and yes that pic is on the drivers side of the boat. Will get another photo for ya

That might be the gas overfill vent, if you pour too much gas into the tank it comes out of there (it's a vent too). It looks like it might be missing a piece as mine is white...

So it should be covered? Or would there be a check valve in there to prevent water from entering fuel tank?

That's not a drain, that is your fuel tank vent line, and it is missing the splash cap that is supposed to screw on to the threads you see. It is an extremely common part used on all kinds of boats. It is made by Attwood and you probably have to buy the whole thing (for about $10) just to get the replacement cap. You need to address this or you will soon have water in your fuel...

You can download the shop manual for your boat here on this site. Lots of interesting information about how to maintain you boat.
