As a premium member you have the manuals at your finger tips. Look at wireing diagrams it should give you color of wires and what they go to. Take your time and you should be ble to figure it out or we will help you out.

mpem?

I don't know if that year had the mpem. I think it's just got the electronic module. Do you know if there is fire at the spark plug? Does the engine spin over?

Welcome to the seadoo forum nissanchick27. I checked the wire diagrams and the 95spx doesn't have a mpem. It has an electronic module to control things. Now when you say it won't start, does it not turn over or not fire the plugs??? What wires are you trying to follow to, the starter solenoid, start button, stop button??? If you give me a little more information I can help you get it running.

ya the motor turns over, the starter works, start button works, starter solinoid works, it just isnt getting a signal from the starter button to the soliniod and if you push it a couple times in a row it beeps at you. it wont do anything else. thank you for the help!! I hope I can get this thing running lol!

So it sound like it might be a short in the wire from the start button to the starter. Do you want the color code of the wire so you can check it?

Karl

It looks like a Yellow/Red and a Black wire go to the solenoid from the module box
The Safety Switch which is normally open has a Black and a Black/ Yellow wire going to the module box.
The Start button has a Black to ground, and a Yellow /Red to the module box.

I hope the wires check out for you.

I will check those when I get home from work but i am so excited now thought b/c last night I won another one on ebay hahaha! but it only needs a starter lol!

Ok I have narrowed it down and am almost positive that it is the control moduel, now next question is there anyway to bypass it and not have to use it?? b/c I was pricing them out and they are alot and honestly I wanna ride it lol!

kill switch.....

Your model has the lanyard kill switch doesn't it? Then, the start/stop button. If the lanyard kill switch isn't working, then you'll be able to turn over the motor, with no spark to the motor. The kill switch is what grounds the module to kill the engine. Check that switch for continuity. Make sure it shows open and closed readings.

I am having the same issue. On mine, the engine will not turn over if I do not have the lanyard switch depressed. It will turn over when it is depressed. I figured that means the switch is ok. Am I missing something?

Here is a more precise test for the switches. This applies to all these models in the same year. 95,XP,SPX,SPI,GTX.GTS

Check the continuity of the Safety Switch Lanyard. It is normally "open"(no continuity). The color codes of the 2 wires are Black and Black/Yellow. These feed back into the electrical module box. The Start /Stop switch is normally "open"(no continuity). The color codes of the 2 wires are Black, that goes direct to ground, (to stop the engine), and the Yellow/Red that goes to the electrical module box. Check the continuity of this switch too.
