The problems started with cleaning carbs, a clamp dropped in the engine unbeknownst to me, cracked case. Took the engine out, completely disassembled it, had cases welded by machine shop, and reassembled everything. Had real difficulty starting, then could get to start on trailer, not in water. Started on trailer then turned on hose, saw water by base gasket, so I completely removed top end again. Compression readings were around 135 per cylinder. I removed top end again, also removed cylinders and had them bead honed, and reassembled. Now my compression is down, could be due to rings not reseated yet, but still will not start, and still seems to be getting water in it. That could be because it doesn't seem like it is pumping fuel. I figured it could be not getting pulse, so leak down tested the case, at 5 pounds did not leak anything off for over 4 minutes. Now I am at a loss, not sure what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you need more than a pentecostal preacher to lay hands on that thang!

I hope you gt her running. There are SOOOO many issues with your machine.

ANY time you weld a case, you can (through heat) place certain parts in stress, that never were before. And, of course it depends on where the weld took place.

I'd start looking for a complete new motor. (On the cheap, of course!) because although you may get her going again, you have alot MORE factors in that motor than one that has not had the kinds of "experiences" that that one has!

Best Regards,

Nate

Yeah, and the machine shop I took to did the whole taking time to adjust heat in block with an oven and slowing raise temperature, took a whole day just getting block to temperature to weld it, and another day through slow cooling process to not warp block or anything. Everything seems to be sound, like I said, no leak down, good compression, just doesn't seem to be pumping fuel, and can get to start on trailer, not in the water

Wanted to get this to the top, I see that Seadoo Snipe and Karl are very knowledgeable on the ski's, and was really hoping for some advice from one of them what they think I should do next. Already have a ton of hours in this thing, and could use any help I could get.

Getting this back to the top, guess I don't understand, and I know people are busy, but seems to be a lot of helpful response to people that to me seem to be very simple and obvious issues that even I could figure out, and this machine I have done everything someone of my limited skill set could do to analyze, and the people that seem to be very experienced PWC mechanics have had nothing to offer. Not sure if I have worded something wrong, but tried to be as thorough as possible to explain everything I have done so advice could be offered easier.

You said the machine shop did the oven thing. That's good.

I would help more if I could. I cannot. I don't know enough, except I have seen amature weld jobs on aluminum, and they did not work at all.

So, All I can say is I hope you get this one!:agree:
