hey guy i just changed my jet oil, when i put the cone back on i pinched the oring, i didnt notice untill it was in the water, so now i have a milky liquid in my jet pump, do i have to pull the imprella housing off

Time to change the oil again with a new oring, I think I would tilt the front of the trailer up on a tree stump or rope in a tree to drain everything out of there, tell your friends you are only taking one shade tree mechanics class tonight.

How did you know you pinched the O ring? Did you see oil in the water? Also are you talking about the two small O rings on the nozzle assembly? Just curious because I just changed my jet pump oil as well and I want to make sure I did not pinch anything:cheers:

always do a pressure test on the jet pump after a fluid change and or O-ring change, it must hold 10 psi for 10 min.

i just finished flushing the water out, used about 1 litre of oil and wd-40, B15phily i noticed the leak when i launched the ski, milky white oil, i thought it was jus some oil i might have spilled during doing the oil change but there a a constant flow, got it home and noticed i pinched the o-ring on the cone when doing the oil change:rant: 5hrs to fix, 5hrs less riding time. Shakedown how do i pressure test the jet pump?

Nose cone "0" ring?

There are two 3 ways to get water in your pump. You did not seal the threads on your plug; the "0" rings on your cone or the seal underneath the impeller where the shaft comes through.

If your pretty certain it's because you pinched the seal, you can probably take care of this without removing the pump (though it would probably be easier if you did).

You'll want to take off the cone and tip the trailer up as high as you can to drain it. Then, put the nose cone back on. You can put a few ounces of alcohol in it or maybe just a thin, light weighted oil. Let the trailer tongue onto the ground, then back up. You can do that a time or two to try and coat the entire inside of the pump.

Now, pull your cone back off. Drain all the liquids. If you used the alcohol, let it dry for about 15 minutes. You might do this a couple times depending on how bad the oil looks when you dump it out. You do not have to get it "all"out. Just as much as you possibly can.

Put a light coat of silicone sealant around the nose cone, covering the rings and plastics. Then, after assembly, let it sit overnight before filling it with oil.

After you ride for a few hours, you might think about taking a couple hours to pop the nozzle back off and check/change it one more time. Just to be sure you don't have anymore water getting in...........

Cheers mate i have done pretty much what u said though i just used my pump oil to flush it and wd-40, it was a bit of a mission lifting the ski up and down so many times to make sure i got all the crap out & all because of a o-ring, i will pay more attention next time.
