Help!! Taking on water

1996 Sea Doo Bombardier Rotax SPI. Taking on water. Cant keep hose on main shaft it wants to slide back. Is something broke or do I need a new hose?

You have needle bearings on the end of that hose. You may need new bearings. My 95 xp did the same thing. Put new bearings in it and was good to go. I bought the assemble off of SBT for $60 plus shipping.
