seadoo wont warranty the ski pylon

i have a 230 challenger and weigh 250 pounds. I bought the boat new last year. I am totally disappointed in seadoo. I also own an rxt and wake pwc. back to my problem. last year i kept the boat in freshwater for less than 5 months and the reverse parts on the thing that goes up and down deterated. also i used the boat to wakeboard 1 time and the ski plyon bent. I used to work in the wakeboard industry working for board and boat compaines and have never seen a company not stand behind their product. I called seadoo and after 20 plus minutes on hold I get Johnathan who is a tool. No personality and did not real care about me or my continued support of the brand. He just gave me a case number and told my dealer to call them. They called and guess wht I think they got the same john. They said he told them no on both issues and that was it. My dealer thinks it should be covered and is awesome but John is a warranty blocker. The boat is brand new and I am happy with most everyting. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to get this stuff replaced under warranty. The dealer even offered to have their service manager. Fun Bike Center in San Diego is awesome Jon at Seadoo is worthless

Yikes.

How can he make a determination over the phone?

I would have the issues looked at by the dealership. Perhaps they can call on your behalf and make the situation right.

That is total B.S!! I would continue to raise shit and if need be, go over "John's" head and speak to his boss/manager. I find that when you try to get something covered or repaired under warranty no matter what it is the usual first reply is sorry, it's not covered for that!! But you have to really drive them nuts with continuous phone calls, e-mails ect. until they cave just to get you off their back!!
Call the guy every day including his managers until they cover it!! Good luck

There are several others on here who had major problems with BRP service. If you keep on them and climb the corporate ladder, you will get results. Search here for BRP customer service and you should find some stories that help.

That ski Poll isn't made to pull a lot of weight if used improperly... Swing out too wide on a wake board and it will bend. It sounds like you kept your seadoo in the water for 5 months... Your not suppose to keep your seadoo in the water for any extended length of time because things will corrode and deteriorate. Last, if your out of your warranty then there isn't much you can do. Your selling dealer should be the one pursing your warranty claim if it is valid, not you. Try another dealer on the warranty claim, but chances are they won't do much as they didn't sell you the seadoo.

Stay on them!!!! I bought a new challenger in June or July of 2010 my super charger went out after 3 hours then a hose blew before 10th hour. Local's couldn't figure out the problem. I called the corp 1st time they told me jsut go through the dealer. Well i kept on corp and it took about 2 weeks but they sent a rep down and since i was unhappy with my purchase because of 2 major problems in less then 10hours and they claimed the super charger was a thing of pasted and was fixed now and that they never seen a hose blow like that because of pressure they ended up giving me a new exact same boat and to make up for my head ach they gave me one with a tower to make up for it..

i actually have an extended warranty and I have never heard of a boat you can not keep in the water for 5 months at a time. I kept Baliners, Malibus and correct crafts in salt water for years at a time and nothing like this ever happened. As a moderator you must not be a wakeboarder or skier. Swinging out wide is kinda what you do to do these sports and if you are going to bput a ski pylon on a boat (it is called a ski pylon) it should hold up. It is not hte dealer it is SEADOO.

seadoo just called today. I spoke to a lady named Sara and she was wonderful. They are going to fix my problem. so long story short seadoo came through and I will be back on the water in a few weeks
