Help!! Seadoo Utopia

I was just out on the water, my Utopia died while running and will not restart. The starter is working fine, but has some resistance somewhere else. I did notice when I docked, i had a decent size stick near the propulsion/steering area (unsure the correct term). Would that have something to do with it? When I removed the stick, it still will not turn over. My first thought was the alternator is frozen, but not sure... any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
