Ok, I lost this part in the boat while removing the carb. Don't have a part number or name so here goes: a cable runs from carb to the oil pump below. This cable runs thro a bent, slotted plastic tube, about an inch long which clips into a slotted mount on the side of the engine. This is what I dropped, and have been told I can't get any more. Any ideas? Oil pump won't operate without it

The oil pump will operate without that plastic retainer as long as you find a way to keep the cable from falling out of the metal bracket. I used a peace if plastic hose that fits in the hole and cut a slot for the oil pump cable to be inserted into the plastic hose then put some rtv on the hose so it doesn't fall out of the metal bracket just so the cable is not rubbing on the metal bracket.

Cyaman is correct...but if you want to get the right part I have one. My minimum is $15 shipped though so if you need anything else now is the time to order it.
