Alright guys and gals i have a 2000 SeaDoo RX with the 947 engine i think i dont remember but anyways. First off i would be driving and you could be cruising along at like 5800 rpm and and punch it wide open and at about 6500rpm the motor would act like it wanted to die and if you held the gas it would ,but if you let off it would catch up, any help on that problem would be nice. secondly my father in law launched it for me today and didn't put the plugs in and the motor filled up with water and he got on it before we knew this and cranked it and drove it for about 30seconds then it died and we put it on the lift and took the spark plugs out and they had watery like almost oil on them. we turned it over blowing the water out and put the plugs back in, i think we need new ones, and the thing didn't want to run it would like rev up sometimes then die i don't know what to do if you need more details to figure it out just let me know. Thanks alot Steve

Steve you have to get the water out of the engine and get it started.Put the spark plug caps on the grounding studs and turn it over with the plugs out. Than spray somw wd-40 inthe cylinders to displace the water and install the plugs. Little choke...and it should start up. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. If you leave the water in it it will get rusted up and maybe lead to seizure. Get it running. If it is on the hose ad it is running do it correcly for no more than 5 minutes.YES, you can hook up the hose to the seadoo and have them run for up to 5 minutes. Connect the hose and start the seadoo. Turn on the water after it is started. Turn off the water, than shut down the seadoo. This way it won't allow water to back flow into the engine through the exhaust due to no back pressure from the engine not running. The bearings and seals on the impeller jet pump are cooled from being in the water. When it is on the trailer it doesn't have that cooling effect so they will get hot after about 5 minutes.
I pre start my seadoo's too, dry before I leave for the launch too. Just for a second or 2 to be sure it will start at launch. Peace of mind is worth lot.
Keep us posted on you progress.
